Today’s science lesson was on ecosystems, which somehow turned into a discussion about whether socks left under the bed are considered a new species. I said yes, they’ve evolved. They’re growing things. When I tried to redirect the conversation, my kid told me he’d already learned about mold “in real life.” So I marked that as "experiential learning".
